Dissatisfactions and complaints

If you have had a negative experience and wish to file a complaint about the quality of our services, here are the steps to follow.

Step 1

Tell us about your dissatisfaction.

First, allow us to discuss your dissatisfaction with you. In most cases, this leads to a solution, or gives us the opportunity to provide you with additional information about our products and services.

Please contact us to tell us about your dissatisfaction and leave your contact information. An agent will then analyze your file and any concerns you may have.

Step 2

File a complaint.

Your dissatisfaction was not resolved in step 1?

You can now file your complaint by completing the electronic form.

A complaint will be deemed admissible by Épargne Placements Québec if:

  • a general commitment in our Service Statement has not been respected;
  • an error has been made in a client’s file, for which a correction must generally be made;
  • a discrepancy or contradiction is noted between the procedures and the provisions of the legislation and regulations applicable to savings products.

In addition, a complaint is admissible if the complainant can demonstrate prejudice.

File a complaint

As soon as your complaint is transmitted, an acknowledgement of receipt will be sent to you within a maximum of two business days and a follow-up will be done within a maximum of five business days.

Step 3

Contact the Québec Ombudsman.

If you are still dissatisfied despite the steps you have taken, you may appeal to the Québec Ombudsman, a neutral organization that operates independently of the Québec government.
